Because World Tang Soo Do is a world wide organization students will be taught in both the English and Korean language, this will allow members to visit and participate in studios in foreign countries enabling them to understand the commands.
A certified testing and belt system with specific requirements will be used to evaluate students level of achievment and development through progressive promotion based on the students attendance, ability, and attitude determined by studio instructors.
Students will be encouraged to actively be involved in local, regional, and world organize events such as tournaments, clinics, camps, family outings to promote our martial arts.
Normal student achievement is approximately 5 years to achieve black belt including participation in required sanctioned events directed by the regional director.
All test dates, times, and requirements will be to the discretion of the studio instructor.
Tang Soo Do students will be taught protocol structuring through respect of seniority in rank and age to promote character building, family values, and good citizenship development though hard work, discipline, and teaching detailed history and principles of self-defense.
Students will be expected to maintain timely payment of class fees, uniform purchases, equipment purchases, and test fees. Class fees will be paid directly to the Carthage Family Fitness; all other fees will be paid to the studio instructor at the time of request.
After first test cycle students will be receiving membership certification, student manual, rank certification and World Tang Soo Do patch for the uniform. Students will be expected to purchase the required uniform.
All test fees will be established by rank level, the money will pay for certificates, belts, organization patches, and studio patches, equipment fees will be determined at time of purchase through the studio instructor.
All correspondence will be coordinated through the studio instructor or a designated person appointed by the studio instructor.
